People Power and the Pipeline Protest, Elena Schneible
Recently, I headed down to Washington DC from Vermont for a mere 24 hours. I had never been DC before, but when I heard about the massive protest against the Keystone XL oil pipeline, I knew my time had come. You see, I’m not much of a protesting kind of girl. After following the news for a few weeks, however, and realizing just how detrimental the pipeline would be if it were to be built, I was ready to move past my lack of experience and just go for it!
